Mesilla Valley Transportation’s Rundown November 2021

by | Oct 29, 2021

Thanks for tuning into MVT’s Rundown!

Shout-out to MVT Family Members Miguel Travieso, Javier Gutierrez, Alfred Urban, Frank Collazo, Jose Munoz, Jose Reyes, Gabriel Valdez, and Jose Solano for their help in referring new drivers and staff to MVT!

When you refer a driver or non-driver to the MVT Family between November 1st, 2021, and January 31st, 2022, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a brand-new car! You will receive one entry per referral, so the more people you refer, the better your chances are of driving home a new set of wheels!

Referring drivers has never been easier! With www.CDLReferral.com, you can create an account and have access to a personalized referral form you can send via email, text, or QR code to those you wish to refer. Once their application is processed and they are hired, your name is entered into the drawing, and the $1,000 referral bonus starts coming your way!

Open Enrollment is from November 1st, 2021, to November 20th, 2021. MVT Employees can enroll in medical, dental, vision, and other plans. To make it easy, enroll using our self-service tool. If you have any questions, contact the HR Benefits Team at HRBenefits@m-v-t.com.

During roadside inspections, drivers are required to present a Platform Science Handbook. Platform Science handbooks are available electronically and can be shown in this form. Drivers should also stay on the lookout for updates and reminders from the Human Resources Department on their Platform Science Tablets.

If you see Javier Rodriguez Jr., Sergio Castanon, Carlos Quezada, or Arturo Portillo around, be sure to pat them on the back for reaching huge milestones within our MVT Safe Driving Club! Javier, Sergio, and Carlos have rolled up on their 1 Million MVT Safe Mile mark, and Arturo has come up on his 3 Million MVT Safe Mile mark! Way to go, guys!

MVT was voted the best trucking company in El Paso, Texas, for 2021 by El Paso Inc. readers!

In this past month’s MVT Changed My Life episode, we got to sit down with Driver Trainer Samuel Monrreal, aka “Old Man”. Watch and see why he loves being a part of the MVT Family!

www.MVTHoldings.Jobs is the all-in-one job board for our MVT Enterprise of companies! If you know someone looking for a job, be sure to have them check it out!

Colorado’s chain law will be in effect until May 31st, 2022. Reach out to the Safety Department for more information.

The latest blog up on the DriveforMVT.com Newsroom gives some tips to save money while you’re on the road as a truck driver in light of National Savings Day!

Jet Dental, a professional dental team, will come directly to our El Paso Terminal to provide comprehensive exams, preventative cleanings, and x-rays to our drivers and staff at no cost to those with insurance on November 12th, 2021.

We would like to remind everyone to be cautious out on the roads with the winter months here.

With the rise in stowaways seen in the ground transportation industry, we remind drivers to complete a thorough and safe walk-around of their tractor and trailer before rolling anytime they have been stopped.

Our recruiters were out at Western Technical College this past month meeting the drivers of tomorrow and answering any questions they had.

In our most recent healthy second episode, we talk about ways to drink less soda!

Congratulations to our Halloween costume contest winners throughout our terminals!

The MVT Store in our El Paso Terminal has PS5s available for only $875 bucks! Making it even better, all you have to do is put $200 dollars down and pay off the rest in 4 payroll deductions!

Let’s get social! Connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn to stay up to date on what MVT is up to!
