Tip #6: The Importance of Exercising
8 Tips to Lose Weight and Prevent Obesity
Develop healthy habits by making small changes to your routine. Consider the following tips to prevent obesity and improve your health.
#6 Make Time for Exercise
The simplest way to lose weight is to reduce calorie intake while burning fat. How do you burn fat when your job requires you to sit for long periods of time? Exercise whenever you can. Low impact exercise, like walking, gets your heart rate up and kicks your metabolism into gear without stressing your joints. If you’re at a rest stop, walk around the building at least three times or for 20-30 minutes.
Don’t have that much time in your schedule? Do as much as you can and make a point to spend at least an hour exercising on your off days. To lose weight, you need to spend at least 2 1/2 hours exercising a week so get it in wherever you can. Even short bursts of exercise add up throughout the week.
